Word Ladder
Word Ladder is a Classic quiz type where clues are given for a series of answers that share the same number of letters. Exactly one letter changes from word to word. The letter that changes must be in a different position from the last changed letter. They’re often themed.

Quick Pick
Quick Pick quizzes are a short, Clickable quizzes with few questions. The ideal Quick Pick should be playable by most people, even without deep knowledge of the subject. With a maximum time limit of a 1:30 and no more than 20 answers, these quizzes are all about moving fast.

Missing Word
Missing Word is a quick fill-in-the blank style Classic quiz. Anything with multiple word titles or names can work well in a Missing Word quiz. Themes are strongly encouraged.

Get the Picture
Get the Picture quizzes are Multiple Choice image quizzes with a “this or that” inspired format. Images serve as the multiple choice options, and hints should be brief.

Mixed Word
Mixed Word is one of our older quiz formats. For these quizzes, players need to unscramble a set of mixed-up words. They are Classic quizzes and typically have around 10-20 answers. If you love solving anagrams and exercising your brain, these quizzes are for you.

Short Order
Short Order are quick Order Up quizzes where you arrange a small list of items in the correct order. Typical Short Order quizzes have 4-8 items to sort, and are no more than 1:30. Hence the name, Short Order.

Word Hunt
Word Hunt are Grid quizzes that use Word Search mode, but in the typical Daily Dose style. These quizzes ask you to find words that are hidden in a grid, but the grid can be no larger than 64 total cells. With a timer set at 2:00 or less, you’ll have to be quick.

- No multidirectional words

Mini-Crossword
Mini-Crossword, as the name implies, is a bite-sized version of a classic crossword puzzle. Like Word Hunt, we’re looking for Grid quizzes with 64 total cells maximum. For these, the maximum time limit is 3:00. These are ideal for the puzzler that loves crosswords but doesn’t have a lot of time on their hands.

Sunday Crossword
Find an original weekly crossword publish on Sporcle every Sunday at 7:00 am Eastern time. Crosswords are s tried and true puzzle format, and our Sunday Crosswords is the perfect way to kick off your weekend morning. Both American and British style puzzles are welcome, and themes are encouraged but not required.
